Under the federal-provincial agreement for the program for the renewal of drinking water and wastewater pipes (PRECO), the two governments are providing a joint investment of $474,720,030 for a total of 365 projects in 245 Quebec municipalities. With the contribution of municipalities, a total of $712,080,045 will be used to carry out major infrastructure work. With today's announcement, the governments of Canada and Quebec have committed all of the funds earmarked for the province of Quebec under the PRECO program.
